Wembley Stadium is the most Accessible in the UK

Wembley Stadium is the most Accessible in the UK

Tuesday, May 14, 2024

FanSeats have researched all the current stadiums in the English Premier League as well as the national stadium with the idea of analysing those which are the most accessible for fans. With a recent documentary on Netflix regarding the major issues at the Euro Cup Final, the stadium organisers received alot of negative press.

Wembley Stadium Stats

There are no less than 147 accessible toilets within the stadium, making it the most accessible in UK.

  • There are two dedicated sensory and inclusion rooms each with space for 12 fans.

  • Wembley has 310 Places for Wheelchair Users, each with a personal assistant/companion space.

In the coming weeks Wembley Stadium prepares to host some of sport and music’s biggest events. Starting with the FA Cup Final followed by the UEFA Champions League Final and more than 8 nights of Taylor Swift, the stadium will be in full use this summer.

Old Trafford

Whilst Old Trafford also receives bad press, especially after the ‘Waterfall’ from the stands after the Manchester United vs Arsenal Match. The stadium does go beyond this and has recently doubled the number of Wheelchair Spaces to 278.

Champions League Final ticket prices at Wembley have been set at £60 / $70 / €75.

Wheelchair Accessibility With 310 places for wheelchair users, each equipped with a personal assistant/companion seat, Wembley Stadium leads the pack in providing accessible seating options.

Sensory Rooms: There are two dedicated sensory for all events at Wembley stadium, each allowing 12 fans the opportunity to be removed from the atmosphere of the stadium. These rooms are accommodating and don’t need to be prebooked.

“It’s fantastic to highlight Wembley Stadium’s outstanding dedication to accessibility. As we anticipate the FA Cup Final and Champions League Final, it’s reassuring to witness Wembley taking the lead in offering inclusive experiences for all supporters.

With 147 accessible toilets, two specialized sensory and inclusion rooms, and 310 spaces for wheelchair users, Wembley establishes a benchmark for stadiums nationwide. These efforts guarantee that every supporter, regardless of their abilities, can relish the excitement of live football in a secure and comfortable environment. Remember, we have tickets to every event at the stadium” – Peter Williams from FanSeats.
